CBTIR recently appointed a new executive director, Ioannis Konstantinidis, PhD. Ioannis brings 15 years of experience in research development, knowledge mobilization, and mathematical research, stemming from his multi-faceted involvement in the academic research enterprise. He has held successive research faculty appointments at the Universities of Houston and Maryland. In the latter he served as Associate Director of the Norbert Wiener Center for Harmonic Analysis and Applications and coordinated its newly founded professional M.S. program in Mathematics of Advanced Industrial Technology. He has also founded two research development offices at these same universities, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP). Ioannis earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2001, following a B.S. in Mathematics, summa cum laude, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1996.
